I have been successfully betting on horses for over 40 years starting off in primary school when I used to give tips to the teachers! I have to bet solely on Betfair these days as I guess is the case with most successful tipsters! I have done the usual route and have been banned on all my own bookmaker accounts and all my friends and family accounts too. My most successful week was at Cheltenham 20 years ago when I made £20K, half via betting at the track and the other by finishing first, second, third, fourth and joint fifth in a tipster competition run by William Hill over the Cheltenham week. Of course past performance is no guarantee of future success but neither is there any logical reason to believe the results will falter now, so I am confident we can all make some worthwhile gains over the coming months.
